Step 3-Reports
After students have completed the CAT assessment, the teacher should review the individual score report in order to gather additional information about a student’s strengths and weaknesses.
To run reports…
- Login to the VARDT site.
- Locate your school’s folder on the left sidebar and click Reports.
- In the Virginia Reports screen, “Select a Report” under Report Options by choosing Virginia ARDT Testing Roster Report (CAT).
- A new screen will appear giving you the opportunity to run a report based on the options you choose.
- Enter a name for your report beside Report Title.
- Specify the group of students by Class or by Student.
- You may further define the group of students by Gender, Ethnicity, Limited English Proficiency, and/or Disability.
- Click Run Report.
- All students fitting the criteria you have chosen will now appear on the Virginia ARDT Student Testing Roster Report (CAT).
- You have the option of selecting all or individual students to be included in the report.
- Click on the “View Teacher Graph Report” to download .pdf report(s) for the selected students. This file will be labeled Report.pdf, but the file name can be changed by highlighting the Report.pdf and entering a detailed report name. (example: CAT 7_gender.pdf)
Important Note…
If you click the Print button in this window, you will not be printing the full reports. You will simply be printing what is on the screen, the Student Testing Roster.
Teacher Graph Reports include…
- Graphs of the Total Score received on the CAT assessment as well scores for each of the 5 core strands (click picture below and see a full-sized sample graph)
- A listing (by SOL) of the student’s strengths and weaknesses in each of the 5 core strands
Parent Graph Reports include…
- the same information as the teacher graph reports
- a brief parent letter at the beginning of the report
