Creating Folders in PD360 to Organize New Learning for PLCs/Study Groups

Add / Edit / Delete a Focus/Objective

  • Select Focus-Objectives from the Admin Tools Menu. Select the school name or district name on the “Select State/District/School” drop down list.
  • If you select the state, the Focus Objective Toggle Menu will be displayed. This allows you to toggle which Focus Objectives will be visible to the users.
  • If you select the district name or a school name, the name you have selected will be displayed directly below the drop down with a green “+” button to the right.

Add a Focus Objective:

  • Click the green “+” button on the right of the school or district name. A folder named “[rename this]” is created. Click the “[rename this]” folder and the “Edit a Focus Objective” view is displayed with “[rename this]” in the “Title” field.
  • Click in the Title field and rename the focus objective title. This is the title the user will see under the Focus Objectives tab on the main PD360 view. Keep the title brief.
  • External URL is optional. Enter an external URL if you want the user to see an “INFO” button next to the title they can click that will link them to any addressable URL.
  • Description is optional. When the user puts the mouse over the title of the focus objective a popup will display of the “Description” you have entered.
  • Select a Segment and Click the “+” Button to Add. You can link any segment in the video library to the Focus Objective you have created. First click the program title and “Elementary” or “Secondary” to view the program segments. As you click he green “+” sign next to the segment titles, they are then listed on the right side with all segments linked to the Focus Objective.
  • Save Changes. Click “Save Changes” to save and activate the new focus objective.

Add Subfolder
“Add Subfolder” allows you to organize or separate the Focus Objective into two or more subfolders. You can only “Add Subfolder”  to a Focus Objective that does not have any linked video segments. You may delete linked segments from a Focus-Objective then “Add Subfolder”.  You may also “Add Subfolder” to a subfolder. You may only link video segments to the last (lowest level) subfolders.

  • Click the Focus-Objective title to highlight the title.
  • Click Add Subfolder, to display a subfolder “[rename this]” under the Focus Objective.
  • Click the “[rename this]” folder and the “Edit a Focus Objective” view is displayed with “[rename this]” in the “Title” field. Follow the same process as adding a Focus Objective at the “Edit a Focus Objective” view (see Add a Focus Objective above).
