The learning contract is a teaching tool that embodies all that differentiation promotes as well as 21st century skills. Giving students choice in their learning is a way to differentiate, but more importantly, it is a way to empower our students to think critically and to take ownership of their own learning. In this session, we will construct the scaffolding for learning contracts and discuss learning styles, critical thinking, and self-assessment.
