In the 21st century it is important for students to support their opinions with reasons. And it can be fun! By developing an engaging essay topic and providing a textual evidence chart, an important component of the brainstorming process, students can gather evidence to defend a pre-existing hypothesis or draw a conclusion, culminating in a well-developed thesis statement!
