Welcome to your online reflection for the Environmental Workshop held this August at the Henrico Theater.

To get credit for this summer institute class you will need to do the following things. 1. Log into Virtual Share and drag the Environmental Workshop Folder to the desktop of your computer. You will then read the “directions” document contained in that folder carefully and complete the “Lesson Template” found there. (These are the same directions I gave you this August.) 2. Once you have completed the “Lesson Template” you will create a folder on your desktop that you will drag your lesson template, any/all other media, documents, etc. needed to complete the lesson into this new folder. This folder will now contains the “Lesson Template” and any other resources needed to complete the lesson. The new folder you created needs to be labeled as your first and last name should be dragged into the science dropbox on Virtual Share. You will not be able to see inside the dropbox as it is locked to you. Just say “OK” when a message shows up and the folder will be placed there for me to see. This needs to be completed by October 27th at 3:00. 3. After October 27th you will be required to log into Virtual Share Science and look for a folder called “Environmental Workshop Lessons” and select THREE folders to read their “Lesson Template.” Once you have read through at at least three lesson templates you will need to make a post to this blog and give me your feedback on the following items. Your responses for (a and b) go under YOUR NAME on the blog I created. Just click on the “No Comment/Comment” section to add your answers. Your responses for (c and d) go under the “comments section” of the teacher(s) plans you reviewed as stated below. a. What did you find as the most useful resource in creating your lesson plan? Why? b. What was your biggest obstacle in creating this lesson? c. Read over any three of your classmates “Lesson Templates” and give specific feedback to each on their lesson ideas (What might work well, concerns, questions, etc.). d. Respond to ONE classmates post to questions “a and b” above. I am just looking for a reaction to what they said from your perspective. You have until Friday, November 6th to complete this reflection assignment. After that date I will contact Staff Development and let them know you have successfully completed this reflection. Feel free to email me with any issues/concerns along the way. Thanks…Mike Post your comments here. |
